"Logistic-Al Music-Al Nightmare" is the fourth episode of Season 4.

Synopsis[]

Well into the rehearsal process for Jillian's Weird-Al-themed jukebox musical "Damn Yankovic," the students are having a fantastic time and are responding brilliantly to the student choreographer (hired after Jillian's doctor tells her to take it easy when her headaches return) but as the opening date approaches, Jillian worries that the production might be violating some kind of copyright law. Roger seeks Michelle's advice on public speaking as he prepares to give a talk about honesty to the student body. When man drama and work commitments force Treble to leave "Surprise Package," the group holds auditions to fill his space. After two nights of dismal showings and lackluster candidates, a frontrunner finally makes an impression. Hassan Sharuk is young, fit, has a full head of hair, has all the right moves and is every bit the "sensitive artist" stereotype needed to balance out the geek-chic remainder of the group. The problem? He's still a student at the Academy, and very publically so, having been written up several times over the past few years in The Boston Globe for his beautiful murals. Although Hassan's parents think the idea is hilarious, Vera thinks the choice is less so. Meanwhile, Vera and Charles go public with Charles' grandfather's proposal: a two week trip to London funded by Mr. Chatsworth, to take place during Spring Break, in which ten students, chosen via an essay contest with preference given to students of theater and creative writing, would see a different performance each weeknight, with the days devoted to sightseeing and master classes to broaden students' horizons beyond traditional American drama.
